Twenty-five years of rigour.
Now on your side of the table.

I'm Miguel Pinhal. Before real estate, I spent a career making sure complex systems worked — and explaining them clearly to the people who used them. Today I bring that same method to one of the biggest decisions of your life.

My Story

Miguel Pinhal: a different path into real estate

For 25 years I worked in the IT department of one of Portugal's leading insurance groups. I was a programmer, then a trainer for fifteen years, then a software tester — and finally I led the team responsible for the quality of everything that went live. My job was to find what could go wrong before it did, and to explain complex things in plain language to the people who depended on them.

Six years ago I moved into real estate with RE/MAX SIIMGROUP. It turned out to be the same job in a different setting. A property purchase is a project with many moving parts — developers, lawyers, banks, notaries, deadlines, documents — and one client who needs to understand all of it and trust that nothing has been missed.

Today I specialise in new developments and prime homes in Lisbon, Cascais, Comporta, Porto and the Algarve, and I am certified to represent RE/MAX Collection, the network's premium brand. Every year I finish among the top 500 of more than 12,000 RE/MAX agents in Portugal, and in five years I passed €500,000 in commissions — recognised with the Golden Balloon award.

Most of my clients are international. Many are buying in a country they don't yet know well, in a language that isn't theirs, under rules that keep changing. That is exactly where a methodical advisor makes the difference.

"I don't just sell properties. I help people make one of the biggest decisions of their lives — and I take that responsibility very seriously."

How I Work

Four principles I don't negotiate

01

Clarity first

Fifteen years as a trainer taught me that nobody should sign what they don't understand. You'll have every step explained in plain language — in your language — before you commit.

02

Everything checked

Licences, registry records, contracts, payment schedules, specifications. I review them against a checklist — the same discipline I applied to testing software for decades.

03

One point of contact

Developer, lawyer, bank, notary. I coordinate the people involved and keep you updated, so you don't have to chase five different parties — especially from abroad.

04

Honest advice

If a property isn't right for you, I'll say so. I would rather lose a sale than lose a client's trust — and the people I've worked with are the best proof of that.

Four Languages

One conversation, in the language you think in

Buying a home involves nuance — and nuance gets lost in translation. I work directly in four languages, from the first call to the day you receive your keys.

EN

English

For buyers from the UK, Ireland, the United States and the wider international community.

PT

Português

A minha língua materna — para compradores e vendedores portugueses e para a comunidade brasileira.

FR

Français

Pour les acheteurs de France, de Belgique, de Suisse et du Luxembourg.

ES

Español

Para compradores de España y de América Latina.
