Data Protection and Privacy Policy
This Website is operated by Miguel Pinhal, real estate consultant working with RE/MAX SIIMGROUP. Real estate mediation services are provided through FCGM — Sociedade de Mediação Imobiliária, S.A. (AMI 5086), part of SIIMGROUP, with registered office at Avenida João Crisóstomo, Nº 14 A, 1000-179 Lisboa.
We are committed to complying with national and European data protection law, in particular the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and to safeguarding the security and privacy of the personal data of everyone we work with — clients, prospective clients, partners and service providers.
We do not sell personal data, nor do we transfer our contact databases to third parties outside the scope described below. Personal data is collected and processed exclusively in accordance with the following principles:
1. Purpose of the collection of personal data
Personal data collected through this Website is intended solely for carrying out the activity of real estate mediation — namely presenting real estate solutions, developments and investment opportunities to clients, responding to enquiries and providing the advisory services described on this Website — in strict compliance with the Portuguese Real Estate Mediation Law (Law no. 15/2013, of 8 February) and with the rules of the RE/MAX brand.
Data reaches us when you submit the contact form (name, email address, phone number and your message), when you contact us via the WhatsApp button (in which case your communication also takes place under WhatsApp’s own privacy policy), or through cookies and similar technologies described in our Cookie Policy. Enquiry data is kept for up to two (2) years after our last contact, unless a client relationship is established or a longer period is required by law.
2. Data minimisation
Whenever we request personal data, or you voluntarily provide it, we ask only for what is strictly necessary to contact you and carry out our activity at each stage of the relationship. The fields we ask you to complete are essential for us to respond effectively; without them, the quality and outcome of our service may be affected. Data collected is adequate, relevant and limited to what is necessary for the purposes for which it is processed.
3. Retention period
Personal data is kept only for the time strictly necessary for the purpose that motivated its collection, or for longer periods solely where required to comply with legal obligations — including those applicable to real estate mediation, tax and anti-money-laundering rules.
4. Rights of the data subject
In accordance with the GDPR, and within the scope and limits of the law, you may at any time exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, portability (where applicable), restriction of processing, objection to processing, and notification in the event of irregularities, as well as the right to be informed in case of a personal data breach.
Processing is always carried out lawfully, fairly and transparently, for specific purposes, with accurate and up-to-date records, and with appropriate security measures — including HTTPS encryption across this Website.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Portuguese supervisory authority, CNPD — Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados (www.cnpd.pt).
